NaNOFIRE
Fire-retardant treatment for wood, fabrics and paper
A professional water-based formula that inhibits flame spread on porous materials, rated Class 1 for reaction to fire under the UNI 9177 standard.
- Class 1
- reaction to fire under UNI 9177
- ~100 g/m²
- consumption on fabrics
- ~465 g/m²
- consumption on wood
- 1 h
- drying at 20°C, fully dry in 4 h
How it works
NaNOFIRE penetrates porous materials, forming a protective barrier that prevents ignition, limits flame spread and reduces heat release in the event of fire exposure. It promotes self-extinguishing of the treated material without significantly altering its appearance or breathability, subject to a preliminary sample test.
- Inhibits flame spread
- Reduces the rate of combustion
- Promotes self-extinguishing of the treated material
- Does not significantly alter appearance or fabric breathability
Compatible materials
Fabrics
Most natural fibres (cotton, linen, jute) and synthetic fibres (polyester, nylon).
Wood
Solid wood, plywood, MDF and derivatives, whether raw or previously treated.
Always subject to an absorption check.
Application
Can be applied by spray, immersion or brush/roller, at temperatures between +5°C and +35°C. A preliminary test on a small surface is always recommended to check compatibility and appearance.
Safety and compliance
Reaction to fire: Class 1
NaNOFIRE has undergone reaction-to-fire testing at MTIC InterCert S.r.l. and achieved Class 1 under the UNI 9177 standard.
- Test cycle: 465 g/m² of wet product
- Application: brush, roller or spray
- Test reports: available on request
The classification refers to the sampling and application conditions set out in the relevant test reports.
Formulated for professional use; store in a cool, dry place, away from frost and heat sources.
Fields of use
Curtains and textile coverings, trade show fit-outs, stages and stage sets, wooden structures and furniture for public and private spaces, temporary structures, contract and marine sector (subject to specific certification).
